An eerie photo now serves as a haunting memory of a joyful moment before tragedy struck. Agustin Escobar, a senior executive at Siemens Mobility, his wife Merce Camprubi Montal, and their three young children perished in a devastating helicopter crash in New York’s Hudson River on April 10. The family,

who had just arrived from Barcelona, took a sightseeing flight that ended in disaster. Witnesses reported the Bell 206 helicopter losing its rotors mid-air before plummeting into the water near Manhattan’s Pier 40. Photos shared on the New York Helicopter Tours website show the smiling family just moments before the fatal crash. The pilot, whose name remains undisclosed, also lost his life in the accident.
