One of Norway’s largest oil and shipping companies has halted all fuel supplies to the U.S. military following Donald Trump’s treatment of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.
Haltbakk Bunkers, a major fuel supplier, announced that it would no longer provide refueling services to U.S. Navy vessels in Norwegian ports as a show of solidarity with Ukraine. The company made the announcement in a Facebook post, which was later removed due to high traffic.
In the statement, the company criticized what they described as a “disgraceful spectacle” broadcast live on television by the U.S. president and vice president. They commended Zelensky for maintaining composure despite what they viewed as an act of betrayal by the United States. The post concluded with the company’s decision to immediately cease supplying fuel to American forces in Norway and encouraged other Norwegians and Europeans to do the same.
