Ferrarri insist to make gas cars

Ferrari, the iconic Italian sports car manufacturer, is bucking the trend of phasing out combustion engines in favor of electric or hybrid vehicles. The company’s chief reaffirmed their commitment to traditional engines, promising to continue producing eight and 12-cylinder engines until at least the end of the 2030s.

Preserving Tradition:

Ferrari’s chief emphasized their respect for customer choice and the company’s heritage, stating, “It is the client who must choose if they want an ICE, a hybrid or an electric car.” This commitment reflects Ferrari’s dedication to preserving the distinctive sound and experience of their traditional engines.

Electric Future:

Despite their focus on traditional engines, Ferrari plans to launch their first fully electric model in two years, promising a “unique driving experience.” This move puts them at odds with rival brand McLaren, whose CEO expressed reservations about the technology’s readiness for use in supercars due to battery weight.

Hybrid Development:

Ferrari unveiled plans for a three-pronged approach to vehicle development, aiming to become carbon neutral by 2030. While electric cars and hybrids will play a larger role in their range, Ferrari remains committed to advancing internal combustion engines, a crucial part of the company’s heritage.

Challenges of Electric Vehicles:

Despite the popularity of electric vehicles, they face challenges in real-world performance and practicality. Issues such as long charging times, limited range, and high costs pose obstacles to widespread adoption. Ferrari recognizes the potential for high-performance electric vehicles but acknowledges the limitations and unique challenges they present compared to traditional engines.
