Tragic Accident Claims Lives of CEO and Daughter
In July 2024, Richard David Hendrickson, 57, and his 16-year-old daughter, Sally, lost their lives in a devastating accident in Ogden Canyon, Utah. A mini bulldozer came loose from a tow truck during a turn and fell onto their GMC pickup. The two were killed instantly. They were towing a boat at the time. Hendrickson’s wife and two other children survived with non-life-threatening injuries, while another daughter was abroad.

Hendrickson was the CEO and President of Lifetime Products, a company known for outdoor and recreational goods. The company released a statement:
“It is with profound sadness that we announce the tragic and sudden passing of our CEO and President, Richard David Hendrickson, in a car accident. This tragic event also took the life of his daughter, Sally.”

Utah Governor Spencer Cox expressed his grief on social media, calling Hendrickson “an exceptional leader” and “a close friend.” He added, “We are heartbroken by his tragic passing along with his daughter Sally. We grieve alongside his family.”
