Fans Outraged After ‘Wheel Of Fortune’ Refuses To Give Prize To Woman

Originally published in January 2024, this story resurfaced after Wheel of Fortune fans erupted over what they saw as a $40,000 mistake.

Megan, a California choir director, was tasked with solving a bonus puzzle in the “Living Thing” category. The board read “P_N_’ RC _ D,” and she appeared to say “Pink Orchid” during her final guess. Though the correct answer was “Pink Orchid,” she was denied the $40,000 prize and walked away with $14,007.

Outraged viewers took to social media, insisting she clearly said the right answer. Some even cited subtitles and lip-reading to support her case.
