Vandalism at Trump Turnberry
Trump Turnberry, former President Donald Trump’s golf resort in Scotland, was vandalized early on March 8. Red paint was sprayed on the clubhouse, and damage was done to the greens. Police discovered the scene around 4:40 AM.
Suspects and Investigation
Kieran Robson, 33, was arrested and charged with malicious mischief. Two others—a 75-year-old man and a 66-year-old woman—were also taken into custody but released as the investigation continues. Robson was released on bail. Authorities have not confirmed Trump’s claim that “three individuals were in custody.”
Trump’s Reaction
Trump strongly condemned the vandalism on his social media platform. He praised UK law enforcement and expressed frustration: “I hope that those responsible will be treated harshly.” Emphasizing the damage, he said those behind it “should face serious consequences.” The resort holds personal value to Trump, as “a symbol of his success and hard work.”
Security and Public Response
In response, Trump increased security at the resort and vowed to work with authorities to ensure justice. The incident has sparked discussion about protest limits, with critics agreeing that vandalism isn’t an acceptable form of dissent. Trump remains firm, saying such actions “will not be tolerated,” and his response reflects his “unwavering commitment to protecting his property.”
