Celebrity Officially Renounces His U.S. Citizenship!

At a concert in London, Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong expressed outrage over the US Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe v. Wade, declaring his intention to renounce his American citizenship. His impassioned speech condemned the ruling and hinted at a potential move to the UK. The crowd cheered in solidarity with Armstrong’s stance.

The following day, Armstrong reiterated his condemnation of the Supreme Court’s decision, using explicit language to express his discontent with both the Court and the state of the country. His actions are part of a larger wave of backlash from artists and activists against the erosion of reproductive rights in the US. Singer Billie Eilish, among others, has also voiced her dismay at the Court’s ruling.

Armstrong’s bold statement in London underscores the widespread concern and frustration over the state of reproductive rights in the US, prompting artists and activists to speak out against the perceived injustice.
