Beloved Actress Dies Shortly After She Discovered She Had “Silent Killer” Disease

At the age of 71, Kirstie Alley, who will always be remembered for her part on the popular television series Cheers, passed away. Kirstie only “recently discovered” she had colon cancer, which her family tragically revealed led to her death after a brief struggle. Colon cancer is referred to as the “silent killer” since it frequently takes longer for symptoms to manifest than other malignancies. According to her family’s social media statement:

She fought valiantly while surrounded by her closest family members, leaving us with little doubt about her unending love of life and whatever adventures lie ahead. She was a legendary actress, but she was an even better mother and grandma.

Before she died away, Kirstie was undergoing care at the Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa Bay, Florida.

Although Alley will always be most recognized for her role as the bar manager on the television show Cheers, she was also well-known for being an active Scientologist and for publicly arguing with other celebrities.

One of the first to pay respect to the late actress was John Travolta, who was formerly romantically associated with Kirstie:

“My relationship with Kirstie was one of the most unique ones I’ve ever had. Kirstie, I adore you. I am confident that we shall cross paths again.

Ted Danson, who portrayed the head bartender on Cheers, claimed he was watching an episode of the show on a plane when Tom Berenger proposed to Kirstie’s character. By Dansen

She was both poignant and wildly humorous when she portrayed a woman who was about to have a nervous breakdown. When she filmed the scene 30 years ago, she made me laugh, and she still makes me laugh now. I learned that Kirstie had passed away as I stepped off the plane. She always made me laugh, and I’m both incredibly sad and appreciative of that. To her children, I extend my love. They are well aware that their mother had a pure heart. She will be missed.
