Sharon Stone has named the producer who allegedly pressured her to sleep with her co-star to improve on-screen chemistry. In an interview on Louis Theroux’s podcast, Stone revealed that the incident occurred during the 1993 film Sliver, in which she starred alongside Billy Baldwin.

Following the success of Basic Instinct, Stone recalled high expectations for Sliver. “They expected me to bring home another giant smash hit,” she said. However, after initially granting her casting approval, the studio revoked it, blaming her for poor decisions. “They made terrible mistakes in the way that they hired directors and cast.”

Stone claimed that producer Robert Evans, who passed away in 2019, summoned her to his office while she “should’ve been on set.” She alleged, “He had these very low seventies, eighties couches, so I’m essentially sitting on the floor.” Evans allegedly told her, “I slept with Ava Gardner and you should sleep with Billy Baldwin… because if I slept with Billy Baldwin, Billy Baldwin’s performance would get better.”

Reflecting on the situation, Stone pointed out, “I didn’t have to f**k Michael Douglas.” She had previously written in her memoir, The Beauty of Living Twice, “Nobody’s that good in bed.” Baldwin’s representatives declined to comment.
