Cher Says She’ll Leave U.S. if Trump Wins 2024 Election
Pop icon Cher has announced she plans to leave the United States if Donald Trump is re-elected in 2024. In an interview with The Guardian, she shared deep concern about the potential consequences of another Trump presidency. “The last time, I nearly developed an ulcer,” she said. “If he succeeds in entering, who can say what will happen? This time, I intend to leave the country.”
Fears for LGBTQ Rights
Cher, whose son Chaz is transgender, expressed alarm over the growing number of anti-LGBTQ bills. “They are attempting to pass approximately 500 bills,” she said. “Recently, I was with two transgender individuals, and naturally, my own child, Chaz… I expressed the need for solidarity among us. I am uncertain about their ultimate intentions regarding transgender individuals.”
Ongoing Criticism of Trump
This isn’t the first time Cher has been outspoken about Trump. When he first took office, she said, “I dislike referring to him as a president since all he does is watch television.” She has remained a vocal critic, particularly of his policies and behavior toward marginalized groups.
Predictions of Vengeance and Collapse
Cher also predicted chaos if Trump loses the next election. “If Trump is unable to occupy the White House, he will resort to destroying it,” she warned. “He is the most vengeful individual I have ever encountered. I believe he is putting up such a fierce fight because he anticipates prosecution upon leaving the White House.”
