Famous Actor Dies After Tragic Accident

Roger E. Mosley, forever etched in our memories for his role on the beloved television series Magnum P.I., has passed away at the age of 83. A heart-wrenching announcement came from his daughter, Ch-a, who revealed that Roger succumbed to injuries sustained in a car accident in Lynwood, California, just three days ago. In a heartfelt Facebook post, she conveyed the tragic news to Roger’s devoted fans:

“At 1:17am, Roger E. Mosley, my father, your confidant, your ‘Coach Mosley,’ your ‘TC’ from Magnum P.I., peacefully departed from us.”

Ch-a also shared that he transitioned in the company of his family, embracing a peaceful journey. She emphasized the need to celebrate the remarkable legacy he bestowed upon us, adding that Roger would detest any sorrowful tears shed in his name. Instead, she called for commemoration and strength, expressing her love for her father and the profound impact he had on her life. Her heart may be heavy, but her resolve remains steadfast. She assured that she would care for her mother, Roger’s partner of nearly six decades, assuring him that his teachings had been well embraced.

Roger E. Mosley’s name will forever be intertwined with his portrayal of Theodore “TC” Calvin on the iconic television series Magnum P.I. From 1980 to 1988, his embodiment of this character became a defining role. Interestingly, he had initially hesitated to accept the role, fearing it might impede his flourishing film career. It was his agent who nudged him into auditioning, offering a unique perspective:

“There’s this guy Tom Selleck. Tom Selleck has tried his hand at around five pilot shows… and none of them have taken off. So, Roger, here’s the plan: Sign up for the show, head over to Hawaii, they’ll treat you well during the 20 days of shooting the [pilot], you’ll earn good money, and then return. A show starring Tom Selleck is destined to fail, and you’ll be just fine.”

The rest, as they say, is history.

As we bid farewell to Roger, we honor his memory and the indelible mark he left on the world. His absence will be deeply felt, and his contributions to the world of entertainment will be celebrated for generations to come. Rest in peace, Roger – your presence will be sorely missed.
