💬 Michelle Obama’s Brother Once Thought Her Marriage

Rumors about Michelle and Barack Obama’s marriage have swirled recently, but the couple continues to show strength and honesty about the ups and downs of their decades-long journey together.

Now, Michelle’s brother Craig Robinson is opening up about his first impression of Barack — and why, at first, he didn’t think the relationship would last.

👀 “Barack? Who’s Got a Name Like Barack?”

On an April 16 episode of their podcast IMO, Craig reflected on the early days of Michelle’s relationship with the future president.

“So Mich starts to date Barack, and we don’t know who this guy is. We’re just like, ‘Barack? Who’s got a name like Barack?’” Craig joked.

“And I’m thinking it’s gonna last a month, like most of your relationships.”

Michelle laughed off the teasing, pretending to be offended:

“That’s not true. I’ve had many a long-term boyfriend!”

Craig doubled down:

“I wouldn’t call those guys boyfriends.”

He also recalled their mom’s first reaction when she met Barack:

“She said, ‘At least he’s tall!’ because Mich usually dated shorter guys.”

Craig admitted he didn’t expect the relationship to go anywhere, saying to himself at the time,

“Too bad it’s not going to last.”
